Games To Go By

This session is a guide to quick and easy games that ANY group can do. From big schools to small, all need games and activities to pump up the room, build teamwork and foster team spirit. Bring your enthusiasm and your game face!
School Sports NL PN High School Spirit
Facilitator: Trisha Boyer
SSNL is pleased to launch our latest PN program titled “PN High School Spirit” at the Provincial Student Leadership Conference. During the conference High School student councils will have the opportunity to play fun games that they can replicate in their schools during lunch time, winter carnivals and spirit weeks for their students in grades 10-12. A manual using QR Code scanners to download videos on how the games are played will be provided to every school council that attends our sessions.
As a bonus, the first 13 high school schools to register 100 *students with SSNL (names, birthdates and addresses) will receive the program equipment. To register for the kits please contact Trisha at [email protected] . We will deliver your kit to the Conference if your school is located between Grand Falls and Labrador West. All others we will deliver after the conference.
*If you are a K-12, or 7-12 school you may register students from grades 9.

Making Care Contagious

School Spirit is caring, but how do leaders make this care contagious? The presentation draws heavily on Andy’s experiences as a student leader in school and as a speaker traveling North America. He has developed 5 Habits that form the core of all successful student leadership activities. This hilarious and high-energy workshop gives hands-on advice on increasing participation in events, improving your communication with others, and inspiring positive decisions from your student body. The session includes games and activities that can be shared with your school at your next meeting or assembly.

The presentation empowers adult leaders with the tools to teach the 5 Habits of Care to their students. He also shares numerous activities and events that schools can run that support the 5 Habits.
